On May 22, 2014, the preparatory meeting was held for the development of the Nicaraguan Pro Breast Health Course supported by the American Cancer Society and the Movicáncer Foundation. Activity that included the Mastology Association of Nicaragua and the presence of various specialists in cancer issues.

The contributions offered by the attendees were taken into account for the design of the curriculum. In addition to AMASNIC, the presence of Dr. Miguel Orozco, Director of CIES-UNAN, who promised to support this initiative and explained the role of the academy in improving knowledge management as a key tool in the development of programs, was important. of cancer control.
